I had a craving for Middle-Eastern food and decided to fulfill that craving at Ollie's Lebanese restaurant. By the way, Middle-Eastern/Lebanese cuisine is my second favorite next to Mexican, so I'm quite experienced with great and mediocre food quality. I first experienced Ollie's, the Sterling Heights location, when I worked in the area. So, when they added a location in Dearborn Heights I was ecstatic! The food is wonderful. Whether you are in the mood for a quick grab or a nice sit down meal, they have it. This location has sections for any type of diner. Whether you want an area for the family, a place for a dinner date & watch the game (sectioned off area where they have flat screens), or you just want a quieter area with less customer traffic, there is a comfortable seat for you. I planned to go in for a sit down meal of nothing too major on a Sunday evening. I was starved so I just wanted a few of what I saw as the quickest items on the menu that I love... Chicken Shwarma sandwich and a side order of Rice. But when my wonderful and extremely personable waiter informed me of the day's menu special I just had to have it. The special: 12 oz. NY Strip Steak, grilled seasoned potatoes, garnished with lightly fried crispy onion strings. Cost: $18.99 Result: Extremely Worth It!!! My medium prepared chargrilled NY Strip was well-seasoned, tender, juicy & cooked to perfection. Soooo GREAT! The potatoes were tasty. It came with fresh oven baked bread and MY FAVORITE, GARLIC SAUCE! It also came with soup or salad, I chose the salad. It was a very nice sized Fattous salad. I ate 1/3 and took the remaining home for later. And although the steak was so very very good that I wanted to finish it, I just couldn't. I could only eat half of it. But I have to be honest couldn't wait for my food to digest just so I could finish my deliciously awesome steak... Lol! With all that said, I highly recommend Ollie's! And I also recommend you listen to the specials when the waiter presents you with the menu. I did, and I was fully satisfied as a result. HAPPY EATING YELPERS!

Excellent food, wonderful service, great experience everytime! Best crushed lentil around. Great staff! They even tightly plastic wrap to go soup to prevent spillage. Must try for amazing food, you'll keep going back!

Best middle eastern food in the city for sure. Great deboned chicken. The most tender beef kabobs I've ever had. Pretty good lamb chops. Great humous. A bit pricey compared to other restaurants but if you really wanna save money then eat at home. Last time I went the server we had must have misread the instructions and accidentally injected himself with steroids transcranially because he got zero things right but he was young and on steroids so we were ok with him because of the medical condition and tipped him well. I do sometimes sit quietly outside in my yard and worry about the young man. They need to work on their consistency. This is my fair warning to the managers... if you EVER AGAIN sell me reheated chicken that tastes like microwaved shoe leather I will give you a one star. I miss the old la shish!! I hope Obama gives him a presidential pardon because we as Americans are needlessly suffering with poor quality Mediterranean food. The humanity!

Just moved to Chicago but my mother is still in Dearborn. Back home to help her buy a house, we ventured into Ollie's (with my little bro). Everything positive you've read in the Yelp reviews is correct. I learned to cook Lebanese food from my Sitto and this is as good as what she made. The kibbee nayee with hashwi is outstanding. I took my server's recommendation and got the crushed lentil soup. Excellent! As for service, Sahar was beyond great...funny, engaging, efficient (and super good looking...just sayin). The other servers also hustled and had the same friendly manner. You can't go wrong with Ollie's. Go for it!

Fantastic food! The salad is good, the lemon oregano chicken is great! The decor is nice & for lunch it gets very busy. The amount of food for the money is good - they don't have tiny dinner portions. I really enjoyed the place & food.

My son recommended this restaurant recently, and both times I've eaten here it has been excellent. The crushed lentil soup is the best I've had, and the wait staff are great......Thank you Ollie's

This place is amazing. From presentation to taste to food quality, I was extremely satisfied. I actually was a bit apprehensive because it was my first time there but I have nothing but good reviews. The deboned chicken was all white meat and very tender and flavorful. The rice and fattoush were also on point. Will differently be returning again. Thinking of purchasing their coupon from groupon. Seems like a good deal.

The manager Alex is great with the customers! The wait staff is always very friendly and rarely get the orders wrong. It all depends on who's managing that day. The food is delicious and tastes just like my mothers homemade Lebanese dishes.

Stopped here for take out Shish tawook sandwiches, hummus, and a grilled chicken fattoush salad. I didn't try the salad, but it looked really tasty and fresh. The sandwiches were amazing and very flavorful. Hummus was very fresh and there was a lot of it in a small! Chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. The staff was very friendly and helpful in picking something off the menu since we'd never been there before. I highly recommend this place.

The food was excellent. My only complaint is when I ordered carry out which included a side of baba ganouche, they only gave me 1 piece of pita bread.. When I asked for more they happily obliged. I couldn't believe they only gave me one piece to eat probably a cup and a half of the stuff! Next time I will just ask for more bread ahead of time.

It is absolutely astonishing how the same restaurant can have totally different experiences. Ever since this location opened, it has replaced my attendance at the Dearborn location due to not only the staff, but to the attention to the food that the Dearborn location has lost. I took my mother here for Mother's Day and was floored by how much better, tender, juicy, and fresh the food was compared to Dearborn. Now, I am aware of how once a new location opens you want to win over that locations area patrons. However, the waitstaff alone, all extremely nice to the eyes and senses, and super, duper attentive, makes all the difference in the world! After Dearborn's mistreatment, I was able to enjoy my favorite Lebanese fare once again and to this I thank them. My mom had the tenderloin with the grilled vegetables that were the size of baby kittens. As no cuddly animals, other than the cow, were harmed in this preparation, the presentation alone made my mom happy and that made it worth it for me. I had my customary favorite grilled chicken greek salad. Here is where it gets good. Not only did they provide the spices and oil for the bread dipping, might I add Dearborn stopped doing this for some reason, [could only be just my experiences during lunch], but they also made sure the bread was acceptable by checking to see if it wasn't overcooked. (ex. How many times have you received a basket of the bread and it was a bit too dark or hard? Right. Not good for the garlic spread.) Next, my salad was a picture of perfection and the piece de resistance? The large spoon that was included in my salad to ensure I was capturing their delicious and the absolute BEST Lebanese dressing by FAR. This is a detail that has been consistently left out of Dearborn's presentation and guess what, it is missed. Now, this detail may seem minor, but anyone who eats these salads is familiar with how the dressing falls completely to the bottom and without a spoon, it is hard to get it to mix into the salad. This little detail, similarly to the spoon for pasta at authentic italian restaurants, makes sure I am getting this deliciousness on every single bite of my salad without having to order extra on the side. Just these 2 details alone make me frequent this locale over Dearborn even if I had to drive an additional 5 mins to get there from campus.

Delicious! I love their lentil soup and fatosh salads, and their bread is by far my favorite of all the Mediterranean restaurants.
